Present Tense

1) Fungsi Simple Present Tense :  Yang terjadi sekarang dan yang terjadi berulang-ulang , atau suatu kebiasaan, juga untuk menyatakan suatu kebenaran umum (Genereal Truth).
Example :
Tanpa Verba :
S + to be + Complement
(+) I am a singer
(-) I am not a singer
(?) am I a singer?

Menggunakan Verba :  
S + V1/ S /es + Complement
 (+)Dessy speak English very well
 (- ) Dessy does not speak English very well
 (?) Does she speak english very well?

Bentuk kalimat aktif dan pasif
Aktif :
(+) Ariana wants those books
(?) wants ariana those books?

Pasif :
(+) Those books are wanted by Ariana
(?) are those books wanted by Arianan

2) Fungsi Present Continue Tense : Untuk menyatakan suatu peristiwa atau kejadian yang sedang berlangsung pada saat sekarang
Example :
S + to be + Ving + Complement
  (+) He is bringing many books
  (- ) Heis not bringing many books
  (? ) is he bringing many book?

Bentuk kalimat aktif dan pasif
Aktif :
(+)  I am reading a story
(?)  am I reading a story?

Pasif :
(+) A story is being read by me

3) Fungsi Present Perfect Tense : Untuk menyatakan peristiwa / kejadian yang dilakukan diwaktu lampau tapi masih ada hubungannya dengan waktu sekarang atau kejadian yang baru saja dilakukan, tapi waktunya tidak disebutkan.
Example :
S + have/has + V3 +Complement
 (+) She has seduced me twice
 (-)  She has not seduced me twice
 (?)  Has she seduced me twice?

Atau Rumus :
S + has/have +been+ Complement
 (+) I have been to Jerman before
 (-) I have not been to Jerman before

Pasif :
(+) A house has been built by them
